Fun fact: Unlike the contemporary Chevy /GMC (excepting the Typhoon), these were all AWD rather than 4x4. The system was actually shared with the Astro/Safari vans and was something like a 35/65 torque split under normal conditions.

Putting AWD in luxury SUVs before it was cool. And the AWD drivetrain is surprisingly reliable for early 90s GM and there first full prodution AWD SUV. The dashes were pretty cool until they went out. Ours lasted 220k before it was past on.

My best friend in high school had one. White with dark red leather interior. It was an amazing vehicle. He drove the absolute Shit out of it! Tons of amenities. Amazingly comfortable. Powerful. NEVER GOT STUCK. The AWD system was a monster! We drove it to Florida & back and still jumped some hills out at the family farm.

I’ve wanted to do this for a drag truck. We build Olds engines and a 496 would be AWESOME in a 2,500lb(ish) Dime. I figured some Bravada pieces would be a nice touch to give it some identity.

I had a 93 Bravada... not much different than the green one in the comments here. Drove the hell out of it until the front diff started to act up and I traded it in. The gauge cluster was amazing. Plus it was dark green on tan leather... pretty much the best color combo on ANY suv.

Minus 1 point for spider injectors.
